Well, another update from Newark...
Here I am, still in Newark Liberty International Airport, waiting for my flight to Paris. I spent my hours here mostly sleeping on the terminal floor and chatting online using Internet connections from airline lounges that I sit outside of.
I need to emphasize here that Newark is not New York. This is not a typo. Newark, New Jersey is $14 away from Manhattan, each way! So, no, we are not going to New York.

Stuck in Newark! Terminal naps and lounge loitering precede my Paris flight. Newark's not NYC, a costly cab ride confirms that. Wish I had a moto x3m bike to bridge the gap! The delay's brutal, worse than any obstacle course. Next time, direct flights only!
ReplyDeleteOkay, that Newark vs. New York thing totally got me! I can imagine the disappointment of someone expecting the Big Apple and ending up in Jersey. Been there, done that with similar travel mishaps! It's funny how expectations can really skew your experience. By the way, waiting in airports is a great opportunity for me to get some sudoku puzzles done. It's not quite as exciting as exploring a new city, but it does help to keep my brain occupied (and hopefully less likely to dwell on travel frustrations, haha).
